Beyond Unprecedented Folly: The Long And The Short Of It

Reader comment on item: The Forcible Removal of Israelis from Gaza

Submitted by yonason (United States), Apr 13, 2005 at 11:04

here now is the short version.

Let's be honest. Israel has more extensive and compelling spiritual, historical and legal evidence for its national identity, the location and extent of its territory and justification for it's existence, than any other nation on earth.

With that in mind, it is astonishing that the past 30+ years of Israel's leadership has deliberately chosen to ignore or deny that evidence and it's imperatives, in contravention of every promise they made to get elected, in order to surrender to a feeble enemy they themselves created, seemingly for that very purpose.

This is more than folly. It is an historically unprecedented redefinition of the term, "treachery."
