No Peace for Justice not Served

Reader comment on item: Don't Put Terrorists on Trial

Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jul 15, 2014 at 15:15

It took a while to ponder the issues of bringing murder charges in an AMERICAN venue of justice, when the obvious circumstances were that a military tribunal to determine acts of terror against the American interests abroad was more the appropriate action. So, the question: why the confusion?

Simple: the current American Administrative Chief Executive and his operatives in the justice department were looking to do at least two things; provide protection to the terrorist(s)-he could not be acting alone-and to continue the abject disrespect of the administration for the Constitutional precepts that have guided this nation for so long. It is all part of the war against the America that once knew justice, but can no longer find it.
