Reader comment on item: Islamist Media Digitally Cover Up Prominent Western Women

Submitted by Coexist (United States), Apr 4, 2014 at 00:58

Why do you look at only these specific photos and decide to judge the ENTIRE religion. I'd love to debate why you, Mr. Pipes, why you try SO hard to expose Islam through one perspective. Have you ever considered the fact that they could have covered the women out of respect? I'd hate to see a governmental delegate, or popular and impacting celebrity flashing me as soon as I opened a magazine. Hah, in fact, I'd prefer to see some covering up in the US while this topic is exposed.

Look at the Kardashians. I don't see them covering anything up out of respect of the millions of regular passerbys or citizens. One day you see one of them wearing a see through skirt, and the next day you see an 18 year old Kardashian flashing millions of onlookers with her chest in another see through article of clothing (which I'd love to spare my eyes from seeing). Please, Sir, I am asking you from a hopeful light to leave the blemished and paradoxical computer screen of ignorance and inhumanity and to physically ask a muslim themselves why they do this or don't do that. Maybe the world may become a bigger place than you imagined.

Regards,

A teenager trying to give light to new perspectives of cultures, and religions around the world.
