Is Sisi out of reach for the voices of common sense and wisdom, as yours for example? It seems he should care about his own future if not the country's.

Also, don't you think his extraordinary measures to suppress the islamists are temporary? Perhaps, he reserves the more sensible policies for later times when the monster is disarmed.

1 - I don't think he listens except to his yes-men. That's a particularly common feature for politicians of military background.

2 - I shall be surprised if Sisi has anything in mind beyond simple repression.
