Reader comment on item: A CAIR Miscellany

Submitted by William East (United States), Jan 14, 2013 at 19:43

What's the point of nullifying a word that describes those Muslims that practice violent aggression when another word will come into use carrying the same meaning. Look at the state of affairs in Africa. Islamic insanity rages throughout that continent. What word has CAIR forged that describes those individuals that have wrought the continuing human tragedy in Somalia, Sudan, Mali, etc, etc. 80% of the displaced refugees are women and children. That CAIR does not publicly and constantly denounce these ongoing attacks against civilians with some sort of claim that Islam has been hijacked by rebels posing as Muslims only helps propagate the conclusion that CAIR in fact agrees with the use of violent force against innocents for advancing Islamic goals. Those rebels are Islamist, they are Islamist in all such instances, wherever such egregious inhuman acts are performed in the name of Islam. What word would you have us use instead?
