A Challenge for CAIR

Reader comment on item: A CAIR Miscellany

Submitted by George Walters (United States), Feb 12, 2009 at 05:22

Dear Dr. Pipes,

CAIR's hypocrisy irritates me. CAIR uses modern/western rhetoric and terminology about freedom, secularism, religious tolerance and human rights to advance Islamic agenda in the United States. So I can safely assume that CAIR understands the value of religious freedom, human rights, golden rule and reciprocity. CAIR probably also notices that while it is possible to preach Islam in Jerusalem, Vetican and Varanasi, it is not possible to preach Judaism, Christianity or Hinduism in Mecca.

So here is my challenge to the honest, modern, liberal people of CAIR-- please open a CAIR branch office in Mecca and do not stop lobbying until religious freedom of every citizen and non-citizen is guaranteed in Mecca as well.

George.
