Turkey and Ezekiel: an interesting viewpoint

Reader comment on item: Turkey's Islamist Turn, 10 Years Later

According to prophecy writer Joel Richardson Turkey has a central role in the End time scenario. "Forget all you've heard about Gog, Magog." Somehow I'm inclined to think this makes perfect sense. "In the late seventh and early sixth century B.C. when Ezekiel prophesied, Magog, Mescheck and Tubal were known to have dwelt in Asia Minor, or modern day Turkey", Richardson claims.

Turkey of today seems ideally prepared to take the leading position in the prophecies of Zechariah and Ezekiel. Russia of course can join the fray, but logistics and geographical proximity are Turkey's advantage.
