Indigo- Brush up on my colors...

Reader comment on item: Reflections on the Second Presidential Candidates' Debate
in response to reader comment: I said I'm from Indigoland

Well, for some reason I assumed that indigo was a form of purple, my mistake and apologies for my color ignorance. Having less children is never an answer for anything and it is way beyond presumptuous for anyone to preach one way or the other. Because of this thinking we have birth rates plummeting in western communities while they are soaring in developing and Muslim ones (read Mark Steyn's America Alone for a sobering yet hilarious take). It's the same argument as global warming- what good does it do to restrict America or Europe with carbon taxes while China, India etc ramp theirs up.

At any rate, I too am a mugged liberal, but in my case 911 was the catalyst and before that I plead default ignorance. Does no one understand that without a healthy economy and robust national security there is no discussion of rights, abortion and all the other social elements that come way after those first two. And that grave debt decreases national security in itself? I guess there are two parallel realities. All the govt should be responsible for are those two things, everything else is up to states and communities.
