If nuclear weapons make nations less belligerent, then every nation should have them as a lasting panacea to war. Taking this lunacy to its obvious conclusion, if we gave Al-Qaeda and other violent Islamists nuclear weapons, they'll give up Jihad against we infidels.

As for the idiocy that Israel's alleged nuclear arms fuels Middle east instability, would someone tell this nitwit that neighbouring Arabs severally attempted to wipe out the Jewish nation long before she supposedly acquired (unconfirmed) nuclear weapons to ensure her survival? Iran doesn't face any existentialist threat.
