Reader comment on item: Alevi Identity: Cultural, Religious and Social Perspectives

Submitted by Gazel Netherlands (Netherlands), Jan 18, 2012 at 20:02

A number of allegations about the Alevi aren't correct. I think its a pity that there are people who research the Alevi and come up with such weird comments, sometimes the comments are completely nonsense. I know that you wrote a review on a book that is written by someone else, but in a review you have to do your own research about the subject. The information is incorrect. My tip for you as a fellow review writer is first research the subject and then write the review. Because there are people who are reading your reviews and will have a wrong idea about the Alevi.

Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments".

Your specificity amuses me. If there is a mistake, point it out and correct it. Otherwise, best to stay quiet.
