"Mullahs chose to harm a weakened Democrat in 1980 and could do so again; or, they could decide that Obama is more to their liking and desist."

Might I suggest a cynical view, captured also in the piece's title, that Iran, fearing a Republican President being elected, gives 0bama a gift of deliberate provocation to be another "War President"...just till he's reelected of course. I know, I know...but I don't put anything past this bunch.
