The Republican Slate?

Reader comment on item: Tehran holds Obama re-election wild card [in Iraq]

Submitted by Ray in Seattle (United States), Dec 20, 2011 at 11:17

I am certainly one of those "reconsidering" independents. If only the Repubs could nominate a candidate that was not so far beyond the pale domestically. I will not vote for someone who would work to overturn Roe or further put our economy in the hands of financiers unfettered by sensible regulations or a fair increase in the top-end tax rates. I guess I'm stuck with not voting for president this year. Looking from the outside in - it seems the Rebublican nominating process is geared to eliminate all but the most rabid conservatives. What a shame for America.
