Hi Dr. Pipes

This is the latest from the world of el-salafiyyen

It seems that the salafi and islamic preacher Salah al-Fawzan did issue a fatwa in 12/2009 in response to a question about what would good Muslims do if a co-worker does not pray and he stated that

al-ladhi la yusali laysa bimuslim......yajiba 3azluhu bal yajiba qatluhu in lam yatuba wa yuhafizu 3ala al-salat

Which I would translate as

He who does not pray is not a muslim.... (he) must (not) be isolated but it is a duty to kill him if he did not repent and protect (read this as he follows the praying schedules) the praying

And this was published in al-3arabiyya.net

Now Shiekh al-Fawzan is denying that he said that and he is accusing al-3arabiyya of being run by kuffar nasara read this as Christian Arabs and the dreaded el-libraliyeen and read this as secularists

And here is a link from his salafi web site that explains this bizarre and criminal fatwa

Again I suspect that el-salafiyyen in Egypt will end in jail and no one will miss them
