Reader comment on item: Extras about Zionists Purchasing Israel, Not Stealing Palestine

Submitted by Anne-Marie Delcambre (Malta), Jun 28, 2011 at 06:09

It seems like a similar history ( Knights..and Zionists).

The Turks of the Ottoman Empire invaded the islands during the 1565 siege of Malta. The four month long Ottoman siege of Malta - (THE GREAT SIEGE OF MALTA IN 1565)- changed Malta for ever.

THE SIX DAY WAR OF 1967 changed Israel for ever.

After the war of 1565, in 1566, Valletta got its name from the Grandmaster Jean Parisot de la Valette.

After the Six Day War of 1967 , the Arabs were amazed. They did not know what to say. Once they recovered from the shock, they made a great effort. They tried to forget such an important event.

Important event, why ? Because the Six Day War was not a war of conquest and occupation but a spectacular war as the Great Siege that erupted between the Knights of St John and the Turks.

... I am just very happy for Israel. In your articles we look beyond the wall of information that fighting " the anti Israel" is your top priority.
