Reader comment on item: Obama's Failed Middle East Speech

Submitted by John Kasegian (United States), May 21, 2011 at 22:08

Obama is right , the status quo isn't working. If the real goal is PEACE, then who is right or who is wrong isn't relevant.. If there is a person that I want to, or need to make peace with, and I try every method I know, and it doesn't work, then I do what ever I need to do to make peace, even if it means giving up my principles. Even if I'm right and everyone believes I am right, I will give in to the other persons feeling of right to make peace. We all go through this with our families, we either give in and have peace in the family or we don't and don't participate fully with family. If the ultimate goal is peace, then whatever it takes.
