Reader comment on item: Gaddafi's Fin de Régime

It is quite unsettling not hearing much and no real reaction by Obama on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa. There are many ways for the US President Obama could to help if the revolts in the countries are honestly looking for a free society where the people have a say,in running their particular country. Condemming the leadership of the various countries is great but it is only words and political posturing.

The American people especailly plus people of other countries like Israel are in need of solid truths about the goings on in Egypt Yemen Iran Iraqi Tunisia Sudan Lebanon Jordan ,Saudi Arabia all the Arab Muslim countries are they honestly going for turning the swords into plow shears. Can and will they finally realize social needs of their people that violence is not the only solution to issues of their countries and its people. There are many scholars in the Middle Eastern studies smarter than me with answers of why there are issues holding back co existence but reality does show that ego greed and desire what some else has is a huge obstacle in going for peaceful agreeabel solution among concerned parties.
