Arabs need a secular dictator

Reader comment on item: Washington Puzzles over the Mujahedeen-e Khalq

Submitted by Motke (Israel), Jun 17, 2010 at 01:11

The Iraqi leaders are fighting Iranians who haven't harmed them (Mujahedeen-e Khalq), yet they welcome Iranians who harm them (the current regime in Iran). The Iraqi political leaders are slapping the face of the Americans. America's efforts were in vain. Arabs are Arabs are Arabs.

When we look around, in space and time, we see that where Arabs have secular dictators governing them, things are much better than where they have a "democracy".

Blessed be the memory of Saddam Hussein. Long live Egypt's Hosni Mubarak. Long live Libya's Muammar Gaddafi.
