I agree but...

While I certainly lean Republican, am extremely pro Israel, and generally admire what you profess, it did strike me as hypocritical that the US (and UN) want to send observers to foreign elections but cringe from being observed ourselves. What are you afraid would come to light if our election process was observed? Should we not be proud and happy to be observed and be a model for the world? But more importantly, would refusing to be observed ourselves not strengthen the position of any dictator elsewhere who maintains you are infringing on his country's sovereignty?
