Reader comment on item: The Saudis' Covert P.R. Campaign

Submitted by Harold Fox (United States), Aug 10, 2004 at 17:32

The Saudis have been buying off American officials for years. For example, the late John West, Governor of SC, later US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. When he was Lt. Governor, he gave several excellent pro-Israel public speeches. After he retired as Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, he repeatedly went out of his way to support the Saudis and bash the Israelis. He never missed an opportunity to do this.

As usual, follow the money!
