Saudi Arabian Lip Service

Reader comment on item: The Saudis' Covert P.R. Campaign

Submitted by Michelle Hudson (United States), Aug 10, 2004 at 14:14

No amount of PR can gloss over Saudi Arabian Islamic totalitarianism. The experts can extol the Saudis' "cooperation" on terrorism but it rings hollow now that Americans realize that the Saudis are responsible for exporting the radicalism that leads to terrorism. Worse still is when the Saudis blame the "Zionists" for the attacks by homegrown militants against their oil industry. The fact that the Saudis have had to hire PR firms, ex-ambassadors, professors and the like to speak for them is proof positive that no one believes anything the Saudis say anymore.
