Hubris is the result of an ego out of control. This is definitely true in Saddam's case, but it is also a defining characteristic of western civilization. Ignorance is another characteristic shared by Saddam and western civilization. Western civilization is ignorant of Islam. War is a clash of ignorant people with out-of-control egos.
