Manipulating minds

Reader comment on item: Conspiracy Theories in Iran's Unrest

Submitted by John B (Spain), Jun 29, 2009 at 06:33

For any social structure or system of thought and religion that is supposed to have come from God (and most commentators, politicians, social theorists, etc in the West also seem to believe that Islam comes from God) to have to engage in such subterfuges and manipulations of reality in order to get its point across is to me exceedingly strange.
The God I know is not one of deviousness or subterfuge. He simply does not need it. In fact He does not need anything from me for His well being or to maintain His Kingdom. He is quite capable of keeping reality simple and of surviving with or without the help of any man.
Neither does He need my sword.
