A good argument against profiling

Reader comment on item: Europe's Threat to the West

Submitted by Peter J. Herz (Taiwan), May 18, 2004 at 08:08

Reid, Smyrek, Ganczarski, Roche, Brigitte and their ilk are a good reason to turn away from a race-based profiling.

After all, anti-extremist immigrant Muslims like that guy who went to the NYPD and probably saved the subways by doing so, Mizrahi Jews, Assyrian Christians, and lots of others are "swarthy". There's also a large portion of the European and North American left that will join hands with anyone else who's out to destroy the West. Further, groups like the IRA are chummy with Castro and the PLO; and probably can be called on to do radical Islamism's dirty work, just as they did Marxism-Leninism's dirty work.
