Infidel is misinterpreting my statement

Reader comment on item: Obama vs. McCain on the Middle East
in response to reader comment: James Burke, protecting Israel

Submitted by james burke (Canada), Jun 12, 2008 at 07:24

I never said that US is the protector of Israel. My question, was making a reference to the heroic positions taken by Obama and Hillary and their desires to play that role if they are elected.

I do realize that there are limits to what the USA will do to protect Israel. It will NOT send battalions of men to fight for Israel but it has sent weapons and $$$$$$ many times when no other country would ( in 1973, 2006 and Ben Gurion procured supplies from the USA - do not forget that USA sent anti-missile missile program in 1991 -Gulf War with American soldiers to man them). Of course we know that GB1 and the devious JB3 were against any Israel participation the Gulf War because this would damage their business interests with the arab sheiks

Despite issues

re: USS St. Louis, the Pollard case, USS Liberty, the duplicit mr peanut, never bombing Auschwitz, duplicit Kissinger and infrequent American spies caught in Israel and sent back NOT in exchange for Pollard,

the USA is by far head and shoulders above the rest, INCLUDING CANADA AND THE LIBERAL PARTY BLINDLY SUPPORTED BY CANADIAN JEWISH PEOPLE ( especially the anti-semite pierre elliot trudeau and paul martin senior and paul martin junior ) the USA is the greatest ally the Jewish people have ever known.

My own wish is that GB or McCain or Obama would just say to Israel in public: do what you must, kill whom you must, you have our carte blanche.

The Canadian grits despite Jewish support have never had a policy on Israel whereas the Tories wish Israel as an ally ( I do not remember if Harper has gone to Israel but TRUDEAU NEVER NEVER DID ).
