Very ScaryReader comment on item: Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy – An Islamist Charter School in Minnesota? Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), May 21, 2008 at 01:55 So, what are we learning from all this? If your numbers and dollars are great enough, and the parents of the children wish it, to hell with laws for public education; let the cult commence. At the taxpayer's expense. Bravo to Daniel Pipes and Katherine Kersten for exposing this American madrassa. Hopefully, with time and effort, the two (count 'em, TWO) "items of concern" from the Minnesota Department of Education, "Friday communal prayer and student transportation at the end of the day", will include more facts; like TIZA'S "exra-curricular" Islamic studies, and not letting the children eat from dawn to dusk. Seeing those little girls in their little hijabs breaks the heart.
