I think that's a fundamental assumption or stipulation being granted to Islam: all religions are basically peaceable and moral. But what would one look like that wasn't? It would condone slaughter of opponents, treat many or most of its adherents [e.g., women] as inferior servants to the rest, etc. Sound like any examples you can think of?
