"Daniel Pipes Denial"

Reader comment on item: Deadly Denial [of Muslim Anti-Semitism]

Submitted by M. Dunsky (United States), Oct 26, 2003 at 09:44

Though I most often enjoy reading your many columns, interviews and other articles, of late I have grown weary of your repeated distinctions between "Moderate" and "Militant Islam".

Being the highly respected scholar of Islam, who should know better than you that there is no distinction between the two?!

To distinguish between both alleged versions is a contradiction in terms. After all, from its very inception, Islam was spread by the sword!

Now, it may very well be that you wish to be polite; 'though I agree that civility is the glue which holds together societies, I also agree that "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"!
