Dear Mr. Pipes, Your "plausible explanation that could justify the claim of causation" concerning the correlation between "Palestinian homicides and donor aid" seems to be, that crime and terrorism cause poverty, not the other way around. Quite likely this is true. However, the data quoted in your article suggest a more direct relationship. Jihad, like the hajj, requires financial means. Weapons, communications, and travel are expensive. Jihad is the pastime of the relatively well-off. Pumping vast sums of money into Palestine means that more muslims are able to pursue jihad. No rocket science here!
