Dam problem

Reader comment on item: Saddam's Damn Dam [i.e., The Mosul Dam]

Submitted by always right (United States), Nov 13, 2007 at 17:37

As if the anti-American crowd would not have blamed US even if we weren't in Iraq right now. Of course the same people will still blame us for the sanction. If there was no sanction, it'll still be some other excuse.

If and when the dam breaks, we'll fix it. Blame the US or not, we'll still send in help just for humanitarian reasons alone. And the world community slash UN will swoop in afterwards to take all kinds of credit, without actually doing any heavy lifting. So what else is new?

The more pathetic part is the world community "with the moral high ground" sprouting the so-called pottery barn theory. Mental and moral midgets, standing on the giant's shoulder, posturing and grand-standing all the time. You know what? You are still "charity cases". If you are able, try to stand on your own feet.
