Who is more at fault, the East or the West?

During the last century the Brits and US ran roughshod over the Middle East, it's true. But with the bad comes some good. The ME countries received access to some of the greatest innovations and inventions, medical research, astronomy etc. mankind has created. (I still don't understand why Muslims, trying to copy Mohammed, can have electricity, telephones, cars, air conditioning, etc. but keep women tamped down using force and citing ancient traditions as reasons for doing so. Mohammed did not abuse women.

Presently Muslim extremists are threatening to kill and are killing Westerners, stealing their lands, converting them and putting them back hundreds of years in time, all so they will be under the control of Islam. These Muslims don't understand the meaning of boundries. They don't understand the West could easily crush them if we cared to. If I were in charge, I would rule no more Islamic/Muslim immigrants to the West.
