Yes, I will straighten you out. Islam, as a religion, political system, indeed, a civilization has existed for a millenia and a half, across most of the globe in some form or another. Thus it has taken many forms. Some of these forms are deeply problematic and must be addressed. The first step to solving a problem is to correctly define the problem. Your deeply ignorant, and frankly, offensive, generalization does not correctly define the problem, and thus is not a sufficient basis on which to form solutions.
