NYC School Chancellor

Reader comment on item: Teach Arabic or Recruit Extremists?

Submitted by Gary Mullennix (United States), Sep 5, 2007 at 21:18

Having read with interest on the founding of the religious school under the aegis for the City of New York, I wrote a letter to the Chancellor telling him why I thought this was a bad idea and inconsistent with the long history of NYC School Systems which had always be active in getting new immigrants to assimilate by teaching only in English.

I got no response and wonder if anyone else got anything, even a tired email response saying nothing but acknowleding the receipt.
