21st. Century realities vs. canonical expectations

Frankly, I for one conclude that the trouble makers who claim Muslim identity - more has to be done than just to call them "brigands".

Perhaps some lessons can be applied from the persecution that Christians faced when governments had as their emblems the hammer and sickle.
