FOREVER 1%-SECULAR TURKEY Demonstration - Washington DC - Sunday, May 20, 1:00pm to 3:00pmReader comment on item: A Million Moderate Muslims on the March Submitted by Ianus (Poland), May 15, 2007 at 16:51 A certain Turk in DC, wrote : > For those interested > SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR A FOREVER SECULAR TURKEY How do you mean "secular" ? Turkey is a 99% Moslem country . How can you be 99% Moslem and 100%secular at the same time ? You mean perhaps 99% Moslem and 1% secular ? > Calling out to all Turks in Greater Washington DC and all surrounding states, and to all Friends of Turkey... it's time to show our support for a forever-secular Turkey. Are the Kurds and Armenians also invited ? > Please join us at a peaceful demonstration on May 20, 2007 Sunday. PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO ALL WHO CAN JOIN. Host: DC May 20th Location: Lafayatte Park (In front of the White House) Pennsylvania Ave and Jackson Pl, NW, Washington, DC When: Sunday, May 20, 1:00pm to 3:00pm > may20thdc@gmail.com PS: Please dress in Red & White and bring Turkish Flags with you. I'm disappointed . The Turkish embassy and consulates don't distribute them for free ? Can Kurdish flags be brought too ? And can true friends of Turkey bring Qurans to desecrate them during the demonstration to show that this is a 100% (and not 1%) secular demonstration ?
