A HUGE MISTAKE

Islam is not a religion. Islam is a social-political-military-economic system of governance that is totally autocratic. The autocrats maintain control of their subjects by a combination of terror and indoctrination from childhood with the concept that they (the autocrats) are guided by a non-existent supreme entity (ah-la), perhaps through a dead intermediary, that assures their words and actions are flawless. Further, Islam is totally opposed to the individual freedoms that civilized societies have struggled for years to bestow on their citizens.

It is urgent that the civilized world recognize that Islam is a social system competing with liberal democracy. The West, in particular, must stop catering to Muslim disruptive actions in the name of religious freedomï or multi-cultural tolerance. If, at the height of the cold war, the Soviets had funded communist elementary schools and communist think tanks with paid advocates, America would have responded appropriately. Why do we now tolerate foreign capital funding elementary schools that indoctrinate hate and intolerance and institutions with paid advocates for an even more insidious and destructive doctrine than communism namely Islam.

The economic and military facets of Islam is a house of cards, its existence made possible by the oil generated wealth. In Islam's good old days their military was competitive with their neighbors and was the primary method of wealth generation. In spite of our governments condescending rhetoric, Islam has made no significant contributions to civilization and has never mastered modern technology, production methods or liberal social orders. They were and are militant and intolerant.

When our founding fathers separated church and state, it was a brilliant and productive concept. By viewing Islam as a religion we fall into a deadly trap of tolerance. We must recognize Islam for what it is and respond appropriately. In the long run, the West would benefit most from the destruction of all oil fields in the hands of Islamic states.
