These objects were acquired by University of Chicago in 1930s; during that period the current Islamic Regime didn't exist, mind you it came to power in 1979.
These objects belong to common human heritage and not to US justice system to auction them out. The judge certainly has shown her deep ignorance and idiocy by imposing such measures. I regret that you seem to side itself with this inept and ignorant judge.
Just imagine if every state starts imposing such punishments to settle scores with others.

From what I understand, the Chicago institutions have accepted Iranian ownership. I don't see that it is my place to argue with them.
