Reader comment on item: Casey, Santorum and Jerusalem

Submitted by Yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), Jun 15, 2006 at 16:02

The happy interim ending would indeed be the move of the American Embassy to Yerushalayim. Unfortunately i do not see this happening as long as the US encourages the idiotic Saudi plan of stuffing a a third Palestinian state in the heartland of Eretz Yisrael down the Jewish-State throat. Acknowledging Yerushalayim as the one and only Capital of Israel and the jewish people is tantamount to telling the Arabs to go jump in their Oil lake. It is tantamount to implementing a Manhattan plan of disengagement from Oil in ten years. This president, this administration, despite the call for Moral Clarity is too bound up by Oil interests to give up on the Arab world. The only Moral is money and oil, inextricably bound together. Rectitude, courage, even religion is no match for America's appetite for dead rendered dinosaurs. Therefore Israel will continue to call Yerushalayim the Capital, as it has done for the last 3000 years, with or without American approval or sanction.

Unless Olmert, the former mayor of Yerushalayim, gives it up, as part of his diminution-suicidal plan.
