Role of Dept. pf Ed. and FBI

Reader comment on item: The Muslim Brotherhood's American Goals

Submitted by JEAN FURGAL (United States), Jun 14, 2006 at 11:28

I am just becoming acquainted with the Muslim Brotherhood in the USA and in Europe. Also with the Muslim American Society.

This is a surprise to me because I am a real news junkie. I follow the Fox News Channel and Book TV closely, and these are sources I would expect to be reporting more extensively on this organization. I have three questions.

1. Are students taught in mosques required to learn a truthful account of American history? Or, are they taught anti-Americanism? From this article, it seems so. So, can the Dept. of Education do anything about insisting on a standard American education?

2. Does the FBI follow what is being preached in the mosques, and if so, what, if anything, can they do about it?

3. If there are no laws to protect us from the movement to Islamatize the USA, our only hope is transparency. Why isn't there more information about this in our media?

Daniel Pipes replies:

1. We don't know enough to reply but there are plenty of disquieting signs, e.g., "A Madrassah in Bridgeview, Illinois."

2. See "Does the Police Department Profile? Should It?" for the NYPD. FBI I donlt know enough about, but see "Counting Mosques,"

3. Not taking this problem seriously.
