No Time To Love?
Reader comment on item: Jewish Life in an Increasingly Muslim Europe

Submitted by Shailendra Agarwal (India), May 27, 2006 at 01:30

I am an Indian and a Hindu. Maybe I am a wrong person to comment on the article. However, I must say why are we highlighting hatred? I never read any author or columnist telling that " India is the only country in the world, where jews have never been procecuted for being Jews" . Is it always about majority vs minority? With minorities being favoured. No one talks about scores of thousands of Kashmiri Pandits being displaced from their homes, but everyone wants to talk about Kashmir. Then "might is always right". No one dares to talk about the so called 'pre-emptive' strikes by Israel , brushing aside all international protocols and UN . Why? The simple answer is Policeman of the world (read the US of A) is on 'their' side.

Well, If news artices stop highlighting hatred, maybe we will read less about hatred and then we will learn to "Love our neighbours" . However, a word of caution: news papers will sell less!
