Here is a timely reminder from an article originally published December 4, 2017 and posted in the Middle East Forum: (excerpt) "Turkey's strongman, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, may have exhibited all possible features of political Islam since he came to power fifteen years ago, but at least he has been bold and honest about his understanding of Islamism: There is no moderate Islam,.."

Additionally, If Erdogan boldly continues on with his hard-line supremacist goal, he may be the one who succeeds in establishing a Global Islamic Caliphate, as called for by the Muslim Brotherhood since 1928, or else there will be another attempted coup to remove Erdogan and his threatening brand of Islamism.
