Hebron Massacre.

Reader comment on item: A Historic Step in Austria?

Submitted by Reynald de Chatillon (Australia), Apr 7, 2018 at 20:18

How do you make sense of the Hebron Massacre in 1929, when 69 Jews were slaughtered by their Muslim neighbours. This occurred long before the term "Islamist" was even invented. I think Geert Wilders is on the right track when he says the problem lies with Islam itself and the poisonous Koran, which he likens to Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf".

Daniel Pipes replies:

Jihad is integral to Islam. And Islamism, which dates to the 1920s, was around in 1929 in the person of Hajj Amin al-Husseini, one of its most influential exponents.
