Churchill's view of Islam wasn't much more positive than Geert Wilders'

And Churchill was certainly not calling for mass Muslim immigration into the West or into Britain.
The Dalai Lama, certainly no quasi fascist, recently said "Europe, for example Germany, cannot become an Arab country". We know what De Gaul's opinion of the type of mass immigration we're seeing would have been.

By the way, NATO can simply come up with a mechanism to expel or suspend a country.
They haven't done so for lack of political will, not for lack of a mechanism.
