Reader comment on item: Erdoğan Leads Turkey to the Precipice

Submitted by Isaac (Kenya), Oct 19, 2015 at 11:03

Correct me if am wrong, but I think Turkey is one of the most "Democratic" of all the muslim countries in the world, every country has challenges but, staying relevant to the middle east and the so called arab nations with their tyranny. There is still a lot to celebrate in that Nation. In fact I think they are not even half worse than 60% of the arab world.

Daniel Pipes replies:

Yes, Turkey is among the most democratic of Muslim-majority countries; but Erdoğan is taking it, day by day, toward tyranny.
