It has to get much worse, before it starts to get better

I watched aghast as to how the liberals and secularists of Egypt who started the revolution and toppled Mubarak, losing the parliamentary, and then the presidential elections.

I think it was not a brotherhood win, rather a liberal/secularist loss.

The liberals did not have a vision for the country other than stopping the brotherhood from winning. I followed the debates and discussions on TV, internet and Egyptian newspapers, and I was, and still am, appalled at the dearth of vision from the liberals. Egyptians wanted someone to lead them from Mubarak era to a new era, and all the liberals said was not to follow the brotherhood path, but failed to give an alternative that the simple Egyptian can understand and visualize.
