Dr. Pipes

I'm sure that you are aware that 40% of the population of Egypt live on $2/day and to give the readers an idea about the cost of living in Egypt see http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Egypt

The real question is why is Korea now far ahead of Egypt in the period between 1952 and 2012 can be best answered by Khalid Ikram's great book: The Egyptian Economy 1952-2000

http://books.google.com/books?id=JZ52wsURFj8C&pg=PA31&lpg=PA31&dq=cost+of+living+egypt+1952&source=bl&ots=YgzGP2_hea&sig=hBYJ_1cGLFAJelHATiupXFulJxA&hl=en&sa=X&ei=QZEOUJPqLeX30gGQxICYDw&ved=0CEcQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=cost%20of%20living%20egypt%201952&f=false

and the reasons are not that simple but the real question is what should Mohamed Morsi do to improve the lot of most Egyptians? I think he should start by reading this book but I doubt it very much as he is too busy praying and reading the Qur'an
