One tends to agree, always, with Mr. Pipes who has probably forgotten more about the Arab/Muslim world than any group of 10 American Secretaries of State have ever heard. This is therefore only "one more time" when one finds insights in his writings.

Nuclear weapons are clearly an effective way to move mountains about, in fact 50 kilotons is 4 orders of magnitude more impactful than a beautifully designed and perfectly aimed "bunker buster", and perhaps might to something interesting to all the spare U235 floating about in a cascade of separators. Of course oprobium might be focused by a mushroom shaped cloud, but better oprobium now than condolences later...
