With all due respect, the last place you want an anti-Muslim sentiment to arise is in the European Union. They view such relationships far differently to how people in the US see things, and many still do so in the context of the Holy Roman Empire, which is what many of the elites regard the EU as the continuation of — and that points to a desire to occupy the "Holy Land" once more. On top of that, EU anti-Muslim sentiment is being outpaced by antisemitism, which had a huge head start.
