Who can know the workings of the troubled mind?Reader comment on item: Terrorists Read Me Submitted by Joseph Klein (Canada), Dec 30, 2009 at 14:09 It's difficult enough to know the beliefs which motivate the healthy mind, but knowing the workings of an obsessed mind guided by irrational beliefs can be far trickier. That said; my best guess is that indeed Dr. Hasan was, at least half-heartedly, stalking members of the staff, before deciding that his more urgent duty was to eradicate soldiers; who more directly threatened the lives of Muslims than commentators.
