I think the most effective rebuttal to the accusations made against Aljazeera is that now Canadians can view Aljazeera programmming themselves and form their own opinions. Much of the pro/anti Aljazeera discourse has involved people who've had minimal exposure to Aljazeera either English or Arabic. I've watched both for extended periods and I've now formed my personal opinion. So reserve your judgments fellow Canadians. Aljazeera English will soon be available to all and you can decide for yourself whether or not it's "an Islamist, antisemitic, pro-terrorist channel" as Daniel and Charlene put it.
