Obama's dog & pony show.
Reader comment on item: Charles Freeman and Me

Submitted by M.D'Souza (United States), Mar 24, 2009 at 15:21

Obama has been appointing candidates to his cabinet, etc. and then their past activities -- tax-dodging, lobbying, their other associations, etc, are exposed.

Obama claims these candidates are the best, who could do that particular job. He then exhibits them just as in a dog and pony show.

But here the judges are people in the weblog who point out the shortcomings/defects of these candidates. It's the candidates themselves who drop out and then blame the folk on weblogs.

So the "Steve Rosen and Daniel Pipes crowd" is actually a nascent lobby, but not a conspiracy group.
